“Very Fawlty Towers”

The location was brilliant, parking was no problem, and the continental breakfast was lovely, yet we were assigned to an outbuilding that was absolutely freezing; we asked for heating, they said they’d switched on the boiler and to wait 20 minutes, which actually took an hour and a half, so we had to be downgraded to a room in the main building that was warm; overall we spent two hours on this, the staff weren’t very polite, and there were three fire alarms during our stay, two of them in the middle of the night.

The location and parking were good, but the decoration was tired, the TV remote didn’t work, and controlling the heat on the radiator was difficult.

“Small, characterless, corporate and expensive.”

Not much to say, the location was ok, but the room was small, characterless, corporate—more like a B&B than a hotel—and miserable.
