“not bad but not exceptional, probably a dime a dozen”
Finding the place was a breeze, and the instructions for entering and leaving the building were clear and detailed, leaving no room for confusion. Having two separate TVs was a nice touch, and the room stayed very quiet; we didn’t see another guest at all. The two staff ladies we spoke to were extremely pleasant. We appreciated the breakfast vouchers, even though it felt a bit odd to leave the hotel for breakfast; the nearby café offered a good selection and friendly staff. The room’s layout felt odd and uncomfortable overall, with wasted space that could have held a chair or table. It could use some TLC: the walls and baseboards were marked and dirty, the floors dusty, and the bathroom was very small with no place to put anything. The toilet was close to the wall and the towel rack sat over the bidet, risking a dropped towel falling straight into the bidet. There was no ventilation in the bathroom, the towel rack warmer was off, so we had to dry towels in the living room. The shower leaked, leaving a wet mat, and the sofa in the living area was dirty and stained; its cushions angled down, making it feel like we were sliding off. In a city with many options, even dozens on the same street, I expected a little more.
