Maragogi Hostel

The location is fantastic, just a 4‑minute walk to the central beach and close to a supermarket, bakery, and banks. The private room is very comfortable, and the air‑conditioning works great. The only thing I didn’t like was the water pressure in the shower, but it didn’t bother me much. Breakfast is simple but filling; adding cereal, cornflakes, granola, and yogurt would make it more complete.

The hostel is clean and in a great spot near the city center. However, the staff from the Northeast region have an issue with hot water in the shower; they forget that not everyone likes a cold shower at 7 am. Breakfast is poor and too basic, and you have to rent a towel.

I really liked the place; it’s very close to the beach and the boardwalk, so walking there was easy for me. We stayed in a room for four with a double bed and a bunk bed. Since it was only women, we felt very safe walking to and from the beach, even with people around. I had nothing to complain about. The only thing was that it felt a bit cramped and a bit far from where we picked up the van. Anyone not driving should be careful with Uber and 99 because there are few drivers, so it can be hard to find a ride at some times. Otherwise we loved the accommodation. There’s no garage, so if you’re driving I’m not sure you’d stay here. You have to go up and down the stairs, and there isn’t much space for a car. If we drive again, I’ll definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.

I liked the room a lot; it was clean and organized. The breakfast doesn’t have much variety, but it’s tasty, and the eggs are fried on the spot, fresh and delicious.
