The place was very quiet and the area pretty. The Japanese traditional food was good. The bathrooms, while clean, looked very old in the traditional Japanese style; that’s typical for a guesthouse in Japan, but it might feel a bit much for a European guest.
The view was spectacular. The people running the place were very kind. It was a great escape from the crowded Kawaguchiko. The bus was easily accessible, and they offered free pick‑up and drop‑off from the bus stop.
“Wenn ich noch einmal nach Japan kommen sollte, werde ich dort sicherlich wieder buchen”
I received breakfast and dinner – of course for an extra fee, but that was correct. The food was very good, traditional Japanese. Everything was set on the table on time and I ate while looking over Lake Motosu at Mt. Fuji! The days at Mt. Fuji were among the highlights of my trip; I felt completely comfortable throughout.
“天気が悪かったので評価−2”
The location was perfect, right in front of Lake Honsuki. The weather was cloudy, so we couldn’t see Mt. Fuji. The place runs both a guesthouse and a campsite, and the staff were busy and seemed to be moving around without a clear role, making it hard to tell who was staff and who was a guest.
“電話での対応時について”
There was a small misunderstanding because of the name difference, which was a bit disappointing, but the overall experience was good and put my mind at ease. When I called, the voice was too fast to understand; speaking a bit more slowly would make it clearer.
