There was parking and the staff could be notified early to take guests to the ski area. The room was small with insufficient space, no hot water after midnight, poor bathroom ventilation, uncomfortable bed, the drying room had no drying equipment at night, and there was no washing machine.

Even though the cottage felt a bit isolated, the owner and staff happily drove us to the hire shop and to the ski location every day.

The owner and staff were super friendly and eager to help with any issues, and they ran a shuttle to Tsugaike Kogen Ski Resort every day; if you were lucky, the owner might even ask if you wanted a ride to Hachikō Station. The bathroom gets cold in winter, so you need to run hot water to warm it up for a more comfortable shower, and the bus stop is a bit far, the nearby restaurants are few, so driving is more convenient.
