Parautane Lodge is clean, welcoming, and the sunsets from the room, balcony and patios were outstanding; the bed was extremely comfortable and breakfasts were delicious. Anthony and Allan were happy to share their local recommendations. We had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend this spacious accommodation. We chose to stay out of town for the peace, which may not suit everyone, but it’s worth it. The road up is windy and partly unpaved, but the effort is definitely rewarded.

The rooms were spacious, the vibe relaxed, and the breakfast area and food were lovely. The views were beautiful and the hosts friendly, with access to a nice hot pool. The only downside was that our room had a slightly fusty smell.

The views were stunning, the hosts were friendly and accommodating, and the beds were very comfortable with a nice breakfast each morning. The only issue was the gravel and steep road leading up, but it was fine in our rental car; my relatives also managed with their campervan, and the view made it all worth it.

The views were beautiful, but from the garden room you couldn’t fully enjoy them. The hosts went above and beyond to accommodate us. First impressions were mixed because the entry steps needed some love, and we found a lack of comfortable seating both indoors and outdoors. There was no option for an evening meal, so we had to travel to town each night.
