“Bello, ma prenotate le camere più spaziose delle camere standard”
The building is well‑maintained, stylish and positioned very well, just a few steps from the historic centre and the pedestrian zone. The breakfast is superb, plentiful and of high quality. The guest lounge, with its billiards table, board games and convivial spaces for an aperitif or a card game after dinner, is lovely. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We stayed at Akureyri Hotel for two nights during our Iceland tour, and for anyone considering it, I recommend upgrading the room. Our standard rooms were tiny and barely livable. The room we had, as well as the one for our children, featured a double bed against the wall on three sides, leaving only a 2 m × 2 m space on the free side to reach the bathroom (which was proportionally more spacious than the bedroom). There were no wardrobe furniture or shelves even to place a few clothes. When opening the luggage on the floor, there was no space left to walk. In the bathroom there was a complete lack of hooks for a beauty case or anything else.
