The staff were friendly, warm and professional, and we had a pleasant stay in a spacious, clean, comfortable room with well‑maintained facilities; however, after we turned off the TV it wouldn’t turn back on, and despite receiving instructions from reception it remained unresponsive, and the golf carts were gone, making it hard to walk to our lake‑view rooms, especially with a senior in our party.

The location is very good, but the bathroom is old and needs renovation, the speckled mirror should be replaced, and the overused towels should be swapped for fresh ones.

The view is the only thing worth mentioning; the hotel felt like a ghost town, our rooms didn’t lock, there was no internet or cell signal, a strange man was posted outside our room, it took 5 minutes to reach the room and we checked out within about 5 minutes of being there, the surroundings were disgusting and creepy, most of the hotel was shut down for remodeling without notice, we were placed in a very old, ratty section far from the entrance despite the great view, everything else was terrible, and we couldn’t get a refund; we filed a report with bookings because we felt unsafe, but they disputed it.

My partner had a nasty fall during our stay, and the staff were absolutely fantastic in helping us out. They were so kind and accommodating, it really made a big difference to us. On the downside, the breakfast was pretty basic and could've been better. Overall, it was a mixed bag, but the staff's kindness made up for a lot.
