Yangju Sky Castle

The place was spotless and the location was great—right downstairs is CU, so it’s a food street. I stayed two nights and kept wondering what to eat, but every restaurant I chose was spot on. The food was delicious, there were small shops to wander, a clothing store with cheap clothes, and if I wanted a livelier spot I could hop on a taxi easily. Overall, the value for money was high.

The location and parking were good, and there aren’t many hotels like this in Yangju. The bathroom was a problem: the walls were dirty and the drain in the bathroom stank.

“Basic, functional but fine”

The place was in a great spot near cafés and they offered a sort of room service and let you order delivery from apps. The toilet kept rocking when you sat, and the bathroom and rooms had a mouldy smell. The air‑con leaked water onto the bed and in the kitchen. It was a bit dirty when we checked in. It was very basic and functional.

During the whole stay it never got cleaned; it looked more like a motel than a hotel. The street where the hotel is located is very noisy at night.
