“overpriced for what you get”

The spot in Sosua is better than most, a little off the main road so the noise is lower than elsewhere. The pool was filthy, unusable, and needs serious cleaning and upkeep; the papaya tree in the garden should be harvested because its fermenting fruit gave the whole place a terrible smell. Rooms are somewhat okay but lack proper lighting—add some watts—and a chair and table. The bathroom also needs renovating.

“Great hosts, off the beaten path - highly recommended”

I booked this hotel at the last minute due to a flight change, but what a wonderful surprise it turned out to be. Charlie and his staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, even offering me breakfast despite it not being included in my booking. The hotel's location is perfect, with a short walk to a grocery store, many restaurants, and even the beautiful Playa Alicia. I also appreciated the hotel's tucked-away location, which kept the noise level down.
