Brahim, the host, really tried to make the wild scenery more beautiful, but at near-freezing temperatures and with no heating, he couldn't succeed. For true nature lovers this might be the dream spot, full of raw nature and landscapes like an alpine hut—only with tagine and couscous. I wish Brahim had been as tough as we were, not as soft. After almost a two‑hour drive full of winding roads and hairpin turns (none of which were mentioned in the description) we arrived in the “nothing” place, surrounded by a huge mountain landscape with snow‑capped peaks that we also see in our Upper Bavarian homeland. The drive seemed more for rally or motorcycle enthusiasts, especially the last 5 kilometres that our host had to drive back. We left after a freezing night, having seen a beautiful place that had gone from 28 °C here to sub‑zero temperatures by late March—sorry, that wasn’t the plan.

The host is a true mountain treasure! His hospitality was flawless, the food tasty, and the views around the Dar unbeatable—a genuinely local, warm experience. Nothing else.

A magnificent stay at Dar Awlim! The spot is very quiet, surrounded by nature and mountains. The room was clean and comfortable. Special thanks to Elyas for his warm welcome and help throughout our stay. I strongly recommend this experience. Nothing particular to note, just remember the area is mountainous and a bit remote from the network, which is part of the place’s charm.
