I stayed just one night. The hotel is close to the highway and the access was quick and comfortable. The rooms were clean and the bed was comfortable. The only downside is that it is a bit far from the town center.

I landed in a spacious room that felt great, but the hotel’s restaurant was shut down, forcing us to look for nearby spots. The waitress at the hotel’s eatery couldn’t speak English (or pretended she could even though she understood me), and the shower’s water pressure was weak.

Poggio Hotel turned out to be one of the highlights on our road trip, especially for those driving in. Ground‑floor guests could park right next to their rooms, while the underground lot for upper floors was modern, roomy, well lit and linked straight to the hotel by lift. The staff were incredibly friendly from check‑in to check‑out, treating us like friends and explaining everything clearly and efficiently. Our room was contemporary, comfortable, and well designed, with panoramic windows, a balcony, a very cozy bed, and an excellent bathroom and shower. The overall quality was solid, even by European standards. We loved the outdoor pool, sipping an aperitif with small snacks and bruschetta while relaxing after the drive. The hotel restaurant surprised us pleasantly; dinner there offered a relaxed vibe and tasty Italian‑style dishes. The night was quiet and restful, and the next‑morning breakfast was very good—self‑service but well organised, with a good mix of cereals, muesli, croissants, cold cuts, eggs, and various coffees. As a fan of espresso, I was thrilled with the coffee. The location was also a plus; a morning walk into Arenzano revealed a charming, pleasant town to explore. Overall, comfortable rooms, excellent parking, great facilities, and genuinely friendly staff make this a top choice for a stop along the Ligurian coast. No significant complaints; the stay was comfortable and very pleasant from arrival to departure.
