“Lovely contemplative property in bldg from 1500’s.”
The property sits quietly by the river with a stunning view, the host was very helpful, and breakfast was tasty, but getting a cab from town is a challenge.

The location offers peace, and the staff were friendly and accommodating, though the cleanliness could be better.

The historic Hanok by the river boasts a magnificent view of the listed village; the host, who speaks excellent English, welcomed us warmly, took us to town for dinner, and guided us back to the village the next morning with all the details. The traditional room had an incredible view, and the Korean breakfast—though salty for some—was very good. However, dining in HaHoe after 18:00 is difficult, and returning from the village after 19:00 is impossible without a taxi, so a car is needed to explore the village at night, which we didn’t have.

The host was very friendly, the whole house had a charming old‑world feel, and it felt like you could sit in the courtyard all day; it was quiet, comfortable, and I really liked it and would like to return.

A great spot if you want to experience living in a traditional house and enjoy a classic Korean breakfast; the house has historical significance, having belonged to a notable figure, and at certain times visitors are allowed. It’s a good place to enjoy the surroundings, not just the room. The bathroom is outside the room in a separate area, but it’s private and well maintained. It can be a bit inconvenient without a car, as you’d need a taxi; we had a car and it was very convenient, being 10 minutes from Hahoe village and 10 minutes from the center. The price feels quite high.
