The first impression when entering the garden of the hotel was overwhelming; guests were seated at a large table in the garden, which was already a pleasant surprise. The rooms were spacious and the pool was a nice addition and was very clean with a few lounge chairs. The reception was professional but very friendly, family‑like, and personal. The bathroom was also spacious with a good shower and hot water. Perhaps the fact that there was little to experience in the surroundings of the Otsunami hotel, the sea was a walking distance away, but it also didn’t have to be there, and there was little activity.

“TRULY AN UNDERRATED GEM. You won’t regret staying here.”

The staff were truly exceptional, going above and beyond. The rooms were huge and look far better than the pictures. The breakfast was the most generous I’ve had on my trip. The shower and water pressure were incredible, better than at my own home. It’s on the beach and also central in Avepozo. It’s a shocker that it isn’t always fully booked. I know it’s rated 9 but it’s still underrated, if you ask me. Great Wi‑Fi as well. The lighting in the room was a bit dull.

“A True Coastal Oasis in Lomé! 🇹🇬”

The location is a major plus—tucked away from the hectic traffic of downtown Lomé, it offers direct access to quiet, sandy streets just steps from the ocean. Daily life here is relaxing and enjoyable for families. One of our favorite features was the garden. It’s a fresh oasis of lush greenery that provides the perfect, serene setting for breakfast and dinner. What truly sets this place apart, however, is the staff. Their professionalism, warmth, and respectful service made all the difference during our stay. Adolphe, Williams, and Clarisse went above and beyond, always available to support us—even with small daily errands. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a peaceful, stress‑free family getaway along the Togolese coast!

We were very surprised by the excellent hospitality at Hotel Otsunami. The staff are incredibly accommodating and friendly. The menu is European‑local and the dishes taste fantastic. We were especially impressed by the friendly owner of the hotel: just before the trip we discovered an issue with our visa, and the owner went to great lengths to help us, even calling the authorities to sort out the mistake. The hotel is located in a very quiet and beautiful area, a bit outside the city center—this area is definitely worth choosing because of its proximity to the beach, where you can take a leisurely walk in the morning or evening.
