“Manca rapporto umano”
The building sits in a great spot from which you can reach any destination, just a few minutes from the central squares. The rooms are comfortable, the cleaning is good, and the space is just right for a short stay. However, as we move toward digitalization, the online check‑in is very complicated (and there’s no alternative), and the relationship with the front desk is disappointing; because of the online check‑in we didn’t even know the staff, and they offered no tolerance. We asked for an early check‑in and it was denied, and we also requested a place to leave our luggage, even in a storage room, at checkout because we had a late flight, but that was refused (an unknown bar kept it in a corner all day). A little more courtesy would have helped. There is no luggage support, not even a wardrobe.
The place is in a good spot, close to Piazza Castello and some bars by the river. It’s not very secure; the main entrance door got broken and they left it wide open for a few days.
The facilities were spotless, spacious, and clean, close to the Royal Palace and in a quiet area, and a taxi to the train station takes 10 minutes. The only downside was the lack of a refrigerator in the room. In my case, as a wheelchair user, there were four steps to get in, which were manageable, though.
The room was clean and tidy, and the location was nice. There was no air conditioning in the room, the wardrobe was small, and the owner wouldn’t give you the Wi‑Fi password unless you asked for it, so I had to stay one night without internet.
The location is good for visiting the city and monuments. The room was a bit small and bare, even though I was alone. There’s no supermarket nearby. An extra outlet would have been handy, or at least recommend bringing a slipper. The TV, fan, and bedside lamp couldn’t all be connected together.
