The hotel is beautiful and in a great spot, but we were told it had recently changed ownership and the chef had left with his crew, leaving no hot food or hot breakfast facilities for the portion of the package we paid for—disappointing and hopefully resolved soon.

The staff were very nice, but we booked bed and breakfast and were told the kitchen was closed since early summer, forcing us to eat at the sister hotel for breakfast and dinner; it was raining hard and we were exhausted.

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and the rooms were spacious, spotless, and comfortable. The bar area was lovely, and the hotel was quiet and well‑situated. However, because of a change of ownership, there was no cooked breakfast, so we had to eat at the hydro; the continental breakfast was very basic. A double‑booking mix‑up meant my son didn’t get his room until late after a wedding, which dampened the end of the night.
