“Good hotel, some improvements would be welcome”
The cliffside location was impressive, and the hotel grounds were large, though hilly. The sports areas—padel, tennis—were good, and guests are advised to book a slot to secure it and borrow equipment for free from reception. The beach was sandy and nice, though partly public, with free sun loungers and umbrellas. The elevator to the beach was very convenient, and I especially liked being able to take a SUP or canoe for free. Food options and variety were good but not exceptional. A golf cart shuttle carried guests from the beach elevator back to the main hotel in the afternoons, sparing the walk. Receptionists were helpful, adjusting room temperature when requested, but sometimes didn’t know the answers to our questions. We were upgraded to a ‘Deluxe’ double, essentially a bungalow or room in a separate building with fewer neighboring rooms. The room felt dark, poorly ventilated, and had noticeable mold in the bathroom—perhaps it wasn’t refurbished. At check‑in, the room smelled strongly of cleaning chemicals and it took the whole day to get rid of the odor. Surprisingly, there were no drying racks for wet clothes or towels outside. The canteen was spacious but not very cozy, with plastic chairs; some mornings it also smelled strongly of chemicals. We stayed in late September, so it wasn’t busy or noisy. There were adult‑only areas, like a sun terrace, but few places for relaxation; there were several seats around the main bar outside.
