The location was convenient and within walking distance of the beach, and the room itself was acceptable for the price, yet several important issues marred my stay. After entering the property, I was immediately told not to use certain areas, to remove my belongings from common spaces, to switch off all electricity in common areas and that the kitchen could not be used, even though I received very little information about the property. There were no clear instructions regarding shared spaces, kitchen access, payment methods, or house rules before check‑in. Instead, the caretaker’s attitude was unwelcoming; rather than greeting guests or explaining the rules politely, the interaction began with restrictions and criticism, creating an unfriendly atmosphere from the start. Another problem was the common area: even when guests were present, the air conditioning in the living room was turned off despite the hot weather, making the space uncomfortable and potentially causing heat shock. There was also confusion about pricing. The rate shown on Booking differed from what was later explained in person, with additional conditions that were not clear during the booking process. Communication about payment and length of stay was difficult and often unclear, and the pricing policy was confusing and inconsistent with what was shown. I originally booked two nights and intended to stay for two nights, but after experiencing several issues at the property, I decided to leave after the first night. At that point, the owner informed me that the advertised rate would no longer apply and that I would have to pay a significantly higher rate for staying only one night. I was also told that the property effectively only accepts stays of two nights or more, yet it allowed me to make the reservation and displayed a specific nightly rate. When I showed the advertised price, I was told that this was not applicable.
