Nice location, good restaurant close to the water, lovely breakfast. The rooms were shabby, and the cleaning wasn’t up to standard.

The staff were attentive. The bed was clean and comfortable, hot water, small slippers, a toothbrush. The bathroom was outdated (see photos). All the cheapest rooms (22€ per night still) are identical, some even worse; the first room had a worse bathroom and I had to switch rooms because of the chemical smell that gave me a headache.

The staff were always very friendly and helpful. Beautiful view of the Tobasee from the café. The island Samosir is easily reachable by ferry from Balige. The surroundings of Balige offer nice nature and landscapes. The rooms are simple but acceptable for the price. There is only one pool at the hotel, so for proper beaches look elsewhere or plan travel time.

The place was quiet because it was a bit off the beaten path, and the staff were very friendly. The restaurant sits on the other side of the small road by the lake. I had an excellent night.
