The motel sits on a main street, right near the old town, which is convenient. The room we stayed in needed a deep clean; the windowsills and fly screens were very grubby, and some flyscreens didn’t fit the frame, wedging in lopsided. That would be a problem if it got hotter and we wanted to open a window. The trap door used for room‑service deliveries wasn’t sealed, letting a strong cold draft in each morning, so we had to block it with a bathmat. Some of the woodwork and door frames looked battered. On the bright side, the bed was very comfortable, the linen and all kitchen supplies and dishware were clean and in good condition, and the floors were tidy. They even provided small bottles of fresh milk for the room, which was fantastic. “The classic motel experience in a great location!”

The vibe was cool and really leaned into the classic motel feel. It was clean enough and the bed was comfy. The only downside was that the fridge wasn’t getting cold enough.
