The hosts make a difference. They are super polite, available, discreet, and always ready to help. About the room itself, it served me well: great size, a comfortable sofa, and the big difference for my needs was having a table with a good chair, allowing me to work; there is a great TV; a fridge; the bed is comfortable, linens and towels are clean; the bathroom is huge with a small cabinet for personal items. I stayed there three times, so I highly recommend it. I negotiated a higher rate to use the kitchen for coffee, which made a difference, as well as being able to use the microwave to heat meals, even if only a few times. The neighborhood is quiet and close to the center. Yes, it must be made clear that this is not a hotel, inn, or hostel. It is an office with a few rooms for rent, so the atmosphere is work‑oriented; at first it feels strange, almost uncomfortable because people are in their work environment, but the hosts are so kind that the oddness passes quickly. And yes, there is a workshop next door that starts early and is quite noisy, but I was always tired, so it didn't affect me much. There is no electric shower; I know BV is hot, but in the morning after a night in the air I missed a lukewarm shower, which is very personal. There are no supermarkets or stores nearby, but Boa Vista is quick to reach any place. For me it was great because I could walk to work. Just a suggestion: since they are so careful, they could provide toilet paper at least at the guest entrance; it doesn't cost anything to offer this convenience to those coming from far away. As I stayed many days, I missed a garment rack to hang clothes. And since the bathroom is so large, a small drying line would make a big difference—just improvement tips.

The room was excellent. There was a lot of trash at the entrance, specifically in the gallery courtyard, so I asked for a broom to clean it because it was bothering me. There was no toilet paper, and no trash bag in the bathroom bin.

The room itself was a pleasant surprise – a big, comfy bed, solid air‑conditioning, a minibar, a sofa and even a desk that made it easy to work and relax, plus a roomy bathroom. Communication before arrival went smoothly, but the place is tucked away from the main sights and the listing didn’t make it clear that you’re renting a room inside a lived‑in house.

Staff were friendly and the room met my expectations; nothing else to complain about.
