The location is great, the place is very clean and comfortable, and I’d definitely recommend it; just a short walk to the harbour. The room felt a little tired and could use a bit of TLC.

I had a lovely, comfortable stay in a well‑run house managed by very nice people; the breakfast was exceptional, they were understanding when I left with my key, and they treated my elderly mother‑in‑law very well by finding her a ground‑floor room on short notice—perfect for a Whitby break.

It was cheap and cheerful, but the only issue was that we couldn’t open the main door and I felt uneasy waking the receptionists up; otherwise, it was spot on.
