The location, the weather, the stream, and the restaurant were all great. The room is quite old, especially the bathroom and outdoor jacuzzi, and needs renovations.

The location was wonderful, everything was clean, beautiful, and cozy, but there was no hot water; even after the repair, the master couldn’t swim in the pool, and the restaurant food wasn’t very tasty. There was no hot water and the food was not tasty.

Our stay at Lanna Hotel in Chiang Mai was truly magical. 🥹🌿 Surrounded by nature and nestled in the jungle, this was one of those rare places where you arrive and immediately feel that you can slow down, breathe, and simply enjoy being present. We stayed for four days and, surprisingly, we didn’t even feel the need to go anywhere or do any tours. We were perfectly happy just staying at the hotel, relaxing and taking it all in. The restaurant deserves a special mention because the food was by far some of the best we have had in Thailand. Every dish was prepared with so much love and attention to detail. The presentation was so beautiful that you almost didn’t want to eat it because you didn’t want to ruin it! 😍🍽️ You can genuinely feel the passion behind every plate. And then there was the most delicious sticky rice with mango. ❤️ The kids absolutely loved it. It was originally given to us as a complimentary treat, and they enjoyed it so much that later we asked if we could have it again. It wasn’t even on the menu at the time, but the team went out of their way to prepare it for us again as another complimentary treat. 🥹❤️ That may sound like a small gesture, but those are exactly the things that stay with you. They noticed what made our children happy and simply wanted to make them happy again. That is hospitality with heart. Another moment that really touched me was when one of my boys became very sick on our first day and developed a severe fever. I asked reception to help us arrange a taxi to the nearest pharmacy. The lovely lady at reception immediately asked whether he had any allergies and then kindly provided us with medicine free of charge. 🥹❤️ As a mother, that meant so much to me. We felt genuinely cared for, not just treated as hotel guests. From the moment you step into Lanna, the service feels like VIP treatment

The peace and the sounds of nature were lovely; the luxury and comfort offered at this resort are unmatched. You’re taken to your apartment in a golf cart and your luggage is brought in as well. The staff are very friendly, and if something is needed you can simply let them know. However, there was a lot of pest infestation and the air‑conditioning leaked. It’s in the mountains and there’s not much within walking distance, so keep that in mind when booking.

Don’t be misled by the courteous replies from management—our time at La Lanna turned into a total disaster of service and basic honesty. When we arrived they simply told us we couldn’t check in, gave no reason and tried to push us into another room as a “complimentary upgrade,” which was actually a downgrade. After we kept pressing, they finally revealed the property had suffered serious water damage. Instead of being upfront, they forced us to move to a completely different resort and we had to arrange transport ourselves, wasting over three hours before we could finally get a room. Losing half a day of a holiday because of maintenance failures and deceptive communication is unacceptable. To top it off, management has refused a fair refund and keeps describing the forced relocation as a generous favor. Their refusal to take responsibility and framing an operational failure as an “upgrade” feels dishonest and unprofessional. No amount of courtesy can compensate for the lost vacation time and lack of transparency. If anything goes wrong here, don’t expect honesty, accountability, or decent treatment—look elsewhere.
