“Hotel ottimo per più aspetti, ma va risolta la questione parking e lo scarso comfort delle finestre”
The room was spacious enough to put the luggage without creating a blockage. The soundproofing was very good, although the train can be heard a little; but at night it never passes. The bathroom was fully functional and had enough space to move around and put things down. The air conditioning worked perfectly and could be controlled from the rooms. A kettle with tea and coffee was in the room and was much appreciated. The supermarket was well stocked a short walk from the hotel. There isn’t a restaurant… but the hotel offers the possibility to eat there in the evening, with typical French dishes kept in glass containers that are reheated in the microwave. It’s inviting and reasonably priced, especially if you’re too tired to look for another place and especially if you don’t want to move the car given the few spots available in their private parking. We bought a large platter of cured meats and cheeses: the price was great, the quality should be improved, though! The next evening we ate in the city center before returning. A Romanian girl (sorry, I don’t remember your name!) was really delightful and willing to help us with everything. Reception was open day and night. A tram 10 minutes on foot from the hotel takes you quickly to the city center: I highly recommend it, both to avoid paying a costly daily parking in Strasbourg and to avoid the risk of not finding a spot in the hotel’s parking on the return. We were careful to arrive early in the afternoon and then didn’t use the car for two days… but it’s not nice that the hotel has a private parking that doesn’t have enough spots for everyone and that you risk being left out if you arrive late. A solution should be found or, at least, clearly indicate where there is a public and safe parking near the hotel, without risking not finding a spot. The windows with a tilt‑open (i.e., a sash) are absolutely insufficient to ventilate the room unless you leave them open for hours. They told us in the hotel that it’s so to respect a Strasbourg law… but I think they should at least increase the opening angle, because they open very little!
