The location was perfect, the hotel was relatively quiet, the staff were nice, and the rooms were clean. However, many rooms had no windows or windows facing a dark inner patio; I was lucky the staff upgraded me to a room with windows.

The four stars claimed by the listing are a joke, and some comments seem fabricated. I was first given a room without a shower and with a dirty blanket; only after threatening to leave was a ground‑floor room offered that had a shower but was otherwise minimally equipped (no mirror in the bathroom, no wardrobe in the room) and dirty. The windows had only semi‑transparent curtains and the room had a padlock instead of a key. I was persuaded to stay, but after a terrible night of noise until late and continuous dog barking from about 5 am, I fled, even though I had paid for three nights with breakfast. I then found a room at roughly the same price that was a three‑star property but acceptable and good. So everyone, avoid this place!

The amenities and maintenance are lacking, and the bed layout needs improvement. The wardrobes have no racks, so they’re useless, and there’s no provision for hangers or a clothesline. Hot water is inconsistent, and there’s no mirror in the washroom near the basin for shaving. All of the above are problems.

The location is very close to the Ghats and the recommended restaurants. The photos and reality differ greatly; the rooms given to me had no decoration, unlike the online pictures. The first room was tiny, and when I expressed dissatisfaction, I was offered two larger rooms that were still not better decorated. The price felt too high for the room’s appearance. I spent five weeks in India and found equivalent or better rooms for much less. The biggest disappointment was the gap between the charming décor shown on Booking and the bare room I received.
