We arrived exhausted and chilled, and Patty kindly informed us that we’d been upgraded and the heater was already on—simply amazing. The unit was spotless, warm, roomy, and stocked with plenty of coffee, tea, and sugar sachets, and a short walk led us to a spectacular beach that we adored. Nothing else to complain about.

The spot is fantastic; we wanted a place with character instead of a sterile caravan park. It’s next to the coastal reserve and a 10‑minute walk from a gorgeous ocean beach. Visiting in the low season earned us a free upgrade to a deluxe cabin. The bed felt a bit firm, and we dislike electric blankets because the wires and controls stick into you; a doona with a cover would have been better, as the two‑sheet setup kept getting tangled. The oven wouldn’t work.

Location was lovely and pool and bouncy pillow were great. The microwave in our deluxe cabin didn't work and the shower was either boiling hot or freezing cold so impossible to use, and dangerous for an 8 year old. We ended up using the showers in the main block and they were great
