A wonderful ryokan in a quiet part of Hakuba, still close to everything you need. Facilities were clean, staff very friendly, and I had a fantastic traditional experience.

The tatami room was charming and the futons comfy. The onsen was a highlight of my day; the setting was beautiful and relaxing. The ryokan sits nicely close to Happo One slopes and the Happo bus terminal. It’s also very cute with a warm traditional vibe, and the value for money is unbeatable in Hakuba. Thanks to all the staff for their work. The soundproofing isn’t top‑class, but it’s tolerable.

The location is great, only a five‑minute walk to the bus terminal. The two houses are connected by a traditional corridor, which feels a bit mysterious but very convenient. The ryokan buildings are a bit older, but that’s not a big issue; next time I’ll try to book a hotel with an elevator. The bath area is five stars, usually almost empty, basically private each day, and towels, tea, and water are self‑served.

The location was convenient for the Happo bus terminal and a Lawson store. The beds were comfortable and the onsen was excellent. The only downside was the lack of private shower facilities; only the onsen area was available, which could be an issue for some.
