Hotel Restaurant Bellevue au Lac

“Schöner Thunersee, unschönes Hotel.”

The location of the hotel is probably the only truly breathtaking part. We booked a room with a lake view, which was fantastic. However, the experience quickly fell apart: spots on the duvet, mold in the bathroom, dirty fixtures, and no toilet paper holder. Reception service was slow and they struggled to calculate a 10 CHF refund for a 7 CHF charge. One great location, everything else was disappointing.

“Günstig, grosse Zimmer, schönes Haus und schöne See-Lage.”

The room was large and clean, the staff were friendly, and there was a billiards room. The carpet felt a bit dated; a wooden floor would have been nicer.

Hotel direkt am See, Zimmer mit Seesicht und blick auf den Niesen, Ruhige Lage. Freundliches Personal. Abendessen im Hotel war sehr gut (Preis Leistung jedoch nicht). Servicepersonal war gut. Leider konnte teils das Personal kein Deutsch. Somit musste ich mich als Schweizer in einem Schweizer Hotel auf Englisch verständigen (Naja Fachkräftemangel). Das Nachtessen im Hotel finde ich mit 55 CHF für einen Teller mit Poulet und ein paar Bratkartoffeln mit ein wenig Gemüse, ein Süssgetränk und ein Mineralwasser sowie ein Kaffee zu viel. Service war gut. Hotel ist doch schon in die Jahre gekommen. Trotz neuerem Badezimmer im Zimmer. Leider funktionierte der Wasserablauf in der Dusche nicht richtig, somit gab es eine kleine Überschwemmung im Bad

The rooms are large with a lake view from the balcony, right by the lake. The environment is quiet, and the breakfast area offers outdoor seating. Parking is limited, but that probably depends on how many guests arrive by car.

“The view and even the rooms themselves were super nice, but the ruddness of the staff was kind of a bummer”

The lakeside restaurant outside was gorgeous, and the room’s view of the lake was great. The staff were unfriendly: when we asked at reception where we could park because we arrived at night, the receptionist said he didn’t know and didn’t mention the hotel’s own parking across the street. We also asked about using the pool around 8 pm; the man huffed and said it closes at 10 pm, so we used it 15 minutes before closing and cleaned up afterward.
