Located in a 17th-century building, Landgasthof Kreuz in Kappel offers free WiFi, a garden with sun terrace, and à-la-carte restaurant. Public parking and a bus stop are available on site. Rooms feature flat-screen TVs, private bathrooms, and hairdryers. Breakfast is served daily, and traditional Swiss cuisine is available at the in-house restaurant, with outdoor seating on warm evenings. Scenic hiking trails start directly on the premises in summer.

The staff were friendly and the comfort room was nice. There was a large parking lot with charging points. The food and drinks in the guest lounge were far too expensive: €213 for a simple starter and main course, a bottle of wine, and an aperitif (€12.50 per person).

I enjoyed the meals and the breakfast; the staff were very friendly. There was no air conditioning in the room and a lot of traffic noise.

The staff were super friendly and the breakfast was great, and the public areas like the reception, breakfast room and restaurant had a flavorful atmosphere. The basic rooms had carpet floors and decent furnishings, and the modern, spacious bathroom made the price/value ratio top. A small suggestion: a larger mirror in the bathroom would be nice, and a sign with the Wi‑Fi login would help; my roaming package wasn’t available for technical reasons, so I couldn’t scan the QR code for the guest information.
