“Warning for unreliable accommodation owner”
We stayed here for two weeks in total because we loved Hiriketiya and extended twice, but toward the end we felt unwelcome and the vibe turned uncomfortable. When we asked to add three more days, the reply was, “Are you leaving tomorrow, or will you stay here for the rest of your life?” that was rude and unprofessional. The final problem ruined everything: we rented a scooter, and on the last night the owner claimed new scratches appeared after he supposedly “oiled and repaired” it, pointing out the large, obvious marks and saying they were new because there was no oil. It felt like he was blaming us for damage that had been there from the start. Luckily we had video from the first day showing the scratches, so we could prove it. This ruined the trip and we left early for another place, so I can’t recommend it.
