The B&B provides a fridge for guests and free parking nearby. However, the B&B fell far short of expectations for several reasons: the host, who lives in Canada, speaks Italian poorly and prefers English or speaking with her husband; she rarely reads messages, whether by email or WhatsApp, so you have to call her; at my arrival she thought check‑in was the next day, then delayed it by half an hour, even though she had agreed to a morning arrival during booking. The B&B was not cleaned daily, only when a new guest arrived, which violates regional regulations for B&Bs in Abruzzo; the room lacked even a broom or mop for basic cleaning. The bidet was unusable because the drain was blocked, though they did provide bidet towels. The shower drain was clogged, so water didn’t flow, leaving dirt and previous guests’ hair on the surface; the shower was nearly unusable. The breakfast, usually a highlight of B&Bs, was lacking: they relied on a nearby bar that was poorly stocked (only five croissants total), offering just a pasta and a drink, nothing else, and had unpredictable hours—one morning it was closed and we had to pay elsewhere for breakfast. The B&B’s central location on a square means you hear voices late at night.

“Basterebbe poco per rendere il soggiorno migliore”

The property was recently renovated. Communication with the staff was awful: an email went unanswered, a phone call to the manager had us wait more than half an hour outside the door. The person who greeted us charged us in a few seconds without even showing the room. The room had no air conditioning, the bathroom’s bidet was broken and wrapped in tape that read “do not use”; on top of that, there was no breakfast in the morning even though it was included in the price. Forget it.

The house was beautiful, new and spacious. I told them my arrival would be between 14:00 and 15:00. When I got there, no one was home, so we had to wait for the host, whom I had called to confirm. We entered the house and still had to wait on the ground floor because the lady said she had to remove a drying rack. The house was even missing a water bottle. There was a coffee machine but no pods, just two tea bags in a box. The trash bin was dirty. That’s what a reservation that wasn’t registered looks like.
