The moment we stepped in, Dona Fátima and her husband greeted us with big smiles and were always ready to help with anything we needed. Their warm, attentive attitude made the check‑in feel personal and pleasant. I left feeling genuinely taken care of.
“Bright host, but coffee needs tweaking”
Our host was an absolute ray of sunshine, and her daughter was quick to answer any question, which made the stay feel very personal. The private lounge was a nice touch and the location in the city was lovely. On the downside, the coffee came sweetened and a morning fruit would have been a nice addition, plus an extra sheet seemed to be missing.
“Simple, clean inn with great breakfast, but shared bathroom”
This simple guesthouse was spotless, and the breakfast—ordered ahead and paid for separately—was delicious. The road to Itacolomi district is fully paved, so getting there was easy. The only drawback was the shared bathroom, which is a bit far from the center of Conceição do Mato Dentro, though the surrounding district is beautiful.
