A warm welcome and a solid breakfast set the tone, and parking was right next to the hotel. However, our room, number 8, had damp walls and peeling paint, and we even found pests inside.

We never actually stayed; everything was shut when we arrived and no staff or other guests were present. After waiting for a while, we called the hotel number, but only the voicemail answered and we never received a reply. We asked nearby residents and even stopped by a gas station, but no one knew what was happening. By the time it got dark we had to find another place to stay, only managing to secure accommodation after midnight. Later that night we received a confirmation that we could check in at 19 00, and the next day we got a WhatsApp apology saying the staff didn’t hear us knock. We never got a refund for the night.
