A great spot overall. The rooms are small but very comfortable, with air conditioning, a spotless bathroom that includes a bathtub, comfy beds, and good pillows. The staff were also very attentive. The only downside was the laundry area; there are only two washers for all guests, so they’re often busy, and it would help to add more machines.
The property was beautiful, and I enjoyed the cafe/bar, plus the staff were accommodating and friendly. Walking to Kyoto Station is easy without bags, and the subway is also nearby. The room was comfortable with a nicely detailed bed, and I’d stay again whenever I get the chance. I also liked the free calligraphy lesson they offered. Thanks!

Everything was fine.
It takes 12–15 minutes to reach Kyoto Station from here, and you can get to Nara, Arashiyama, etc. Paradoxically, reaching central Kyoto is harder because there are only two metro lines; a bus takes 10–15 minutes. The hotel is beautiful, brand‑new, and feels like a 4‑star comfort. Only two washer‑dryers are available, which seemed a bit few for the number of rooms.
