“Descanso nulo”
The hotel is very well located, just a 5‑minute walk from Plaza Mayor. If you’re hoping to rest, forget it. At night the street turns into a fair with university students and young people making a lot of noise, shouting, or even relieving themselves at the hotel door. The windows aren’t sound‑proof, so if you’re in a room facing the street you’ll have a problem. From 2 am to more than 6 am you can’t sleep; it feels like a party in your own room. There is no 24‑hour reception, which isn’t mentioned anywhere, so you have to call at the exact time you plan to arrive and the reception woman will open the door and give you the key. We were driving from Andalucía, hit a lot of traffic and many road closures, so we arrived later. The manager called asking what happened because we weren’t there; we thought the approximate arrival time was just a guideline, but they take it seriously because they’re not 24 h. They should indicate this before booking. Everything is very old. I had to remove a piece of furniture because the mobile cable fell from behind and it was all dusty. The shower curtain, besides being super yellow, smelled awful. I now understand why it’s so cheap – it can’t offer the experience most guests expect from a hotel. If we return to Salamanca, we won’t stay here again; we’ll look for a pricier place further from the center that lets us rest and be more comfortable.
