Good room, quite atmospheric, beds are good. The lighting is an issue; to reach the room you have to walk through a rather dark stairwell and corridor. Curiously, all the lamps were off and we were told the caretaker had turned them off because people always leave the lights on. After we asked, bulbs were replaced.

“Pour des amateurs gothiques”

Sagnon is a pretty village. The Provençal suite is not at all practical for two couples of friends. The parquet creaks, the toilets and bathroom are in the hallway between the two rooms, so you can guess the issue at night or early in the morning. There is no lock or latch on the toilet and the bathroom is very cramped. The beds are raised, placed on a kind of wooden trunk, and they creak a lot. The décor is quirky or even shocking, no natural light and the lamps are very dim. The parquet in the first room is painted with encaustic at the extreme, but the cleaning is lacking (even though it is charged). There is only one bakery for breakfast in Saignon, and it does not shy away from raising prices.

“The location suited us but the accomodation was ordinary”

The location is good. The bed is uncomfortable, the shower/bath is tiny, and it is dark.
