The spot is wonderful, close to the city and café strip yet very quiet. It’s clean and refurbished, though it feels a few years old. The bed is soft but not ideal for couples, and the bath towels are very small and thin, so an upgrade would help.

After arriving, we discovered the toilet was blocked and there was no way to reach the owner or manager; we tried calling and I sent an email, but the response only came the next day around midday, by which time we had already checked out.

The location is great for work, family, and friends, and the area is lovely for walks; the staff are very polite and helpful, always accommodating, so I’ll return. The towels were thin, and when I booked an extra three nights I asked for the room to be prepared, but it wasn’t; the staff gave me towels when I asked, so that was fine. I keep the room clean myself anyway. The exhaust fan was not working well because it was clogged with dust; after I cleaned it, it was much quieter and better.

The room had been updated and renovated, but the ceiling had a crack and a couple of the ceiling tiles were ajar.
