This hostel is great; it’s close to the lake, which made walking and spotting Mt Fuji a real treat.

The spot and value are good, and it’s a convenient place in Kawaguchiko. All basic shared facilities are available. The building is newly opened but was a converted old house, so the doors and windows let in cold air and showers feel chilly. The rooms are small, no TV, but that’s fine for a short stay. When checking in, the neighboring room had occupants, which might be a bit unsettling if you’re alone, yet it’s still manageable. The heating takes a while to kick in—probably due to the door seal—so it can be cold at night.
