We stayed at B&B Vicolo Marì for 5 nights. Unfortunately, I can’t write a completely positive review. The B&B was recently renovated and that shows right away in the interiors. The room is beautiful, but the shared kitchen is even better. I really appreciated having plates, glasses, and a few pots, plus all the dish‑washing supplies. If I could give one tip, I’d suggest adding sugar, oil, and maybe oregano to the coffee and tea station; I’m sure future guests would love that. The room has a stunning view of Marina di Ascea, is spacious, and even has a very efficient fridge. I also liked having clips to hang wet swimsuits. The Wi‑Fi was a real help because we had poor data coverage, so it was a valuable support. I’d also recommend changing towels at least every 2‑3 days, especially for longer stays in summer. More importantly, provide at least one extra roll of toilet paper beyond the two supplied. Another suggestion is to set up a small luggage space before check‑in and after check‑out so guests can use the rest of the day and come back later just to pick up their bags; that would be a much‑appreciated service. Unfortunately, I can’t say the same about cleanliness. Upon arrival, the bathroom wasn’t very clean. We noticed handprints on the inside of the bathroom door, probably left by the previous guests. The shower soap holder was partially rusted, so the bottles got stained on contact. I liked the toothbrush holder, but the inside was dirty, so we chose not to use it. I also appreciated the mat outside the shower; however, I was disappointed to find it hadn’t been replaced with a clean one before our arrival. The bidet moves: it should be better secured and a silicone sealant would help. The same goes for the sink. I’d also replace the bathroom brush, which was in terrible condition. I was pleased to find a first‑aid kit. Specifically, we used hydrogen peroxide to disinfect a superficial wound from bumping into a bed corner, but the bandage containers were empty. The bed was very wide but quite uncomfortable. I liked having a third pillow in the wardrobe, but I’d recommend having at least one more: the ones we had were so low that sleeping was really uncomfortable. The air conditioning was a plus, but the split wasn’t very effective. Even at 22/24 °C it didn’t cool the whole room well, and at night the heat was noticeable. The temperature dropped a bit more only if it was left on all day, but that isn’t an eco‑friendly solution.
