“Vivre la vraie « Dream ville »”

This hostel is a true paradise! We slept in the newly finished little house, which is simply gorgeous, and we enjoyed the pool. Everywhere you look, the view is breathtaking, surrounded by animals, quiet, the perfect spot to relax and disconnect. Ella is 20 minutes away but it’s easy to get there by tuk‑tuk. Sham and the whole team are adorable, the breakfasts are delicious, and each day we discovered a new Sri Lankan specialty. You can see we loved it!!!

Being surrounded by nature, waking up in the morning and sleeping at night in that environment is the biggest attraction. Above all, the staff were very kind, making it an incredibly comfortable and pleasant place.

It’s definitely the best youth hostel in Ella! Located a bit away from the town centre in the mountains, the hostel feels like a village; pull back the curtain on the beds and you can see and feel the mountains, even without glass! The owner and family are very friendly and personally prepare a super tasty Sri Lankan breakfast for guests. The hostel offers tuk‑tuk bookings from town; when returning to the hostel from town, be sure to book their car (reasonable price), don’t use Pick Me taxis—Pick Me drivers will drop guests at a junction two kilometres from the hostel on a rough road, and usually only the hostel’s own driver will go that way. The beds are outdoors, but there are no mosquito nets, so you’re woken by mosquitoes at night; the owner could add a net.

Unfortunately they had double booked so canceled our stay very last minute, they messaged on WhatsApp explaining they had also booked with hostel world so canceled our stay. Very disappointed
