“Besondere Übernachtung mit Luft nach oben”
The houseboat is a truly unique overnight option right in the middle of the harbor; the directions are detailed, yet finding your way at first is a bit tricky. The service hotline is reachable on weekdays, which helped when our key box wouldn’t open. The sauna is great and the cabin feels cozy. On the arrival day it was 35 °C on the boat, so we had to use the air‑conditioning; there’s only a heater, but we suspect it’s never that warm on the Baltic, so a heater isn’t usually needed. The sunset view from the roof terrace is one‑of‑a‑kind. The kitchen is well equipped, everything is present. The parking is free but really a few 100 m away, and there’s no space for suitcases or bags on the boat – it’s cramped and the many doors aren’t well arranged. A sliding door in the shower would have been better. The sign by the toilet confused us because it was red, and when we asked the service staff, they said it was fine but we should have reported it. The neighboring boat is right next to us, so a privacy screen would be nice. Wi‑Fi and TV reception could be improved; we couldn’t use Netflix. The front bedroom can’t be fully darkened, which isn’t ideal for people who sleep in the dark. Overall value for money is only moderately good; we found it a bit pricey, especially since we have to dispose of trash ourselves, leave the place broom‑clean, and bring our own towels and bedding unless we pay extra. The extra “kurtax” of almost €20 for two nights is also very expensive.
