The property meets my expectations, but for a person with reduced mobility the only issue is that the stairs are very steep and have narrow steps.

The owners Thierry and Claire welcomed us warmly. The room was very good and comfortable. The atmosphere felt family‑like, which I really enjoyed. Dinner and breakfast were served outdoors under misting systems, plentiful and very tasty. The inn is a few kilometres from Bergerac, and you can stroll along the Dordogne at the bottom of the greenway.

The welcome was incredibly friendly, with Virginie and Thierry proving to be warm hosts who really listened to our wishes and requests. Even though you have to climb a fairly steep stair, the rooms are simple yet pleasant; we stayed in two rooms—a larger one and a smaller one—quiet as we had asked for when booking.

This place reminded me of old family inns for several reasons: the welcome – the owners or managers greet you – a warm, caring, simple couple exuding genuine hospitality. The rooms are like the old style, with toilets and showers on the landing. Renovations were done, and the rooms are clean, well maintained, and understated. It is obvious that the location is next to a busy road, which I knew from the start. Someone seeking silence might not find it ideal, but the couple’s warmth quickly outweighs that drawback.
