We spent the coldest days of the year (Dec 30‑Jan 3) at Sevak’s place, and despite the blizzard the house stayed warm; there’s an outdoor grill, a little gazebo with a tiny stove, and he even helped us light the grill and gave us extra blankets when the first floor got chilly. The scenery around the mountains and the view toward Sevan are stunning, Wi‑Fi held up, though mobile signal can drop once you leave the village.

Stayed in a charming little village that was both picturesque and quiet; the accommodation matched the description perfectly and provided a relaxing break from the city.

The owner is clearly trying to keep the village alive, doing everything he can to draw visitors and stop the youth from leaving, but he simply doesn’t have the know‑how or money to make it work even as a niche ethnic tourism spot. The basic living conditions were far from what the photos suggested – the place felt more like a makeshift shelter, and honestly, my tent was cozier.

The host was absolutely wonderful, always friendly and attentive. We ate dinner and breakfast in a tiny, warm dining room that felt really cozy. Everything was spot‑on, no complaints at all.

The room was super comfy and roomy, with a little kitchen on the ground floor where I could brew tea whenever I wanted. The staff were really helpful, and the breakfast—served in a new, quirky space—was delicious. From the first floor you get a stunning view of the mountains, which made the whole stay feel extra special.
