Rheinauer Hof - bed & breakfast

The air conditioning is great, and the location is close to the bus station, but the noise from the road and trucks unloading for the penny shop and tire shop is annoying; on Sundays it’s quiet. There’s no front desk, everything is online or via a key machine, and the staff spoke at check‑out. The bathroom was clean but plain and old, the TV remote was worn out and new batteries didn’t help, and only commercial channels were available—public channels like ARD, ZDF, WDR, etc., were missing.

Breakfast was very good and the location is ideal. The room felt tiny and cramped, there was only one socket behind the bed, and the mattress was sagging.

“Team made our stay”

We didn’t meet the team until breakfast, but they were exceptional, engaging, and helpful with our extra request; the room was clean and the bed was great, and breakfast was a delight with many unique offerings. We booked in a hurry, and when we found the property we didn’t like the surroundings because it’s in an industrial area; a group of men in the parking lot drinking beer was off‑putting. Everything closes at 15:00, so you go straight to your room, and there seemed to be no open restaurant nearby. As a lone female, I would not feel comfortable staying here.

Everything worked very smoothly: arrival and key pickup with the key box.

The breakfast was really good and the location right next to the highway was convenient, but the pull‑out bed was uncomfortable.
