The location can't be beat, it's absolutely fabulous.
The room was spotless and the staff were really friendly, made for a nice stay.
The guy at reception was really helpful, and the WiFi was straightforward to use;

The front desk guy was incredibly helpful; noticing my discomfort while walking, he immediately switched us to a lift‑accessible room at The Grand Harbour Hotel, and we slept wonderfully that night.

“Good stay in Ilfracombe”
The room was perfectly comfortable and the spot is great near the sea front. The local pub nearby was noisy when I tried to sleep.

I found out the place is dog‑friendly, which matters to me as a dog owner, so I might return. Nights were noisy because the bars and pubs are right next door; drunk party‑goers on the street and gulls on the roof made it hard to sleep. The pillows were very small and thin—bring your own—and the sheets had a few threadbare holes.
