The place had a very atmospheric vibe, a large apartment that was very clean and comfortable, a beautiful garden, and I recommend it.

It was a house to ourselves. Very clean and stylish. The beds were very very comfortable. We arrived late and didn’t really spend much time and left in the morning. It would have been a perfect place if you plan on staying in the area for a few days. The property is lovely and has a nice little swimming pool. House 6 was too close to the main road and the traffic woke us up in the morning. Had to cart our luggage through half of the property in the middle of the night. It was the first time I ever had to self check in. Having booked I didn’t realize it. The process might be a little confusing for an older person. Once I contacted the property, they were very nice and told me how to get to the instructions to self check in and the video. None of this is their fault tough

“teleurstellend verblijf - potentieel maar heel erg slecht onderhouden”

The surroundings of Sintra are beautiful, but our stay was a huge disappointment. At first glance the location seemed lovely with potential, yet we faced obvious moisture and mold problems. The basement had visible damp/mold and a strong, musty smell that seemed to be masked by electric scent diffusers. The bedrooms were slightly better thanks to the air conditioning, but the musty odor persisted. Even the children complained about the damp smell of the duvets. Additionally, the basement had no windows or doors open except the front door, making ventilation nearly impossible. Kitchenware was minimal, greasy and dirty, and there was no range hood, so after cooking the apartment was blue from cooking fumes. Our complaints were not taken seriously and dismissed as normal climate effects. Even with intervention, no suitable solution was found. The grounds and accommodation were clearly poorly maintained: old and broken beach chairs, tables and chairs, very bad road surface and crumbling walls. It’s a shame because the location has great potential but lacks the care and soul expected. We ultimately decided to leave a day early to end our holiday on a positive note. The beautiful surroundings unfortunately do not outweigh the state of the accommodation and how our complaints were handled. With proper maintenance and serious attention to moisture issues, this could be a wonderful spot. Unfortunately, we would not stay again, especially given our experience and the similar points mentioned in other reviews.
