The pool is beautiful and the view is stunning, yet the kitchen is barely equipped, making even simple cooking hard; the rooms are very hot with no fan, so the comfort‑to‑price ratio is poor.

The Charentaise is gorgeous and staying there was a pleasure; Isabelle, the proprietor, is welcoming and very friendly, though I felt bad for her having to listen to me butcher her language😂. What’s not to like?
