The staff were polite and courteous, but you have to book your breakfast table in advance. We waited 30 minutes for a seat while more than half the seats were empty; the staff wouldn’t let us sit at any of them, saying they were reserved. It’s odd that breakfast tables are usually first‑come, first‑served elsewhere, but not here.

I was blown away by the luxury; it felt like an experience unlike any other, and the food made me feel like I was out of India.

The breakfast was excellent and the staff were welcoming, making dietary changes as needed; Santosh the steward and the assistant chef delivered top‑class service, and Saksham from Alila was very helpful; room service was also excellent. The location is far from the airport and the approach road could be much better; the external walls of the fort need repainting.
