The airport shuttle was available, though we had to wait a while for it to arrive; the bus to the port was good. The room was basic and lacked even the minimum amenities. Outside noise was an issue and the staff were cold.

The room was large, tidy, and the bed was soft. Mosquito nets on the windows let you leave them open, though they can suddenly become loud at night or early morning. In September the weather is perfect, so a fan suffices without heating or cooling. It sits right next to a supermarket that has a reasonably priced restaurant on the top floor, and it’s within walking distance of the nearby beach. Check‑out is at 10 am. The hotel is about a 15‑minute drive (8 km) from the airport and offers pick‑up/drop‑off for 25 Fijian dollars, but the driver was over 30 minutes late, so you might prefer a taxi instead. I would stay here again. The rooms have no Wi‑Fi, only common areas do, so bring a SIM card. The shared kitchen and dining area are minimal, mainly just a fridge, and no bottled water is supplied, though a kettle is available.

The location is great—close to shops, the beach, resorts, and restaurants. The rooms are basic but clean and get the job done.

The spot is ideal for local buses, taxis, and port or airport shuttles, and a short walk takes you to a nice beach and eateries. We liked the mix of young and old tourists. A well‑stocked supermarket sits on the corner, and the upstairs restaurant offers good food at very reasonable prices. The owner provides transport at a good rate. There’s a nice pool and well‑equipped indoor and outdoor shared spaces, a comfortable sitting room, and a well‑furnished kitchen. It’s great value, so we’re returning after visiting some islands. The only downside is that if you’re after resort activities and nightlife, it might not be the best fit, though the big resorts are not far away on the beachfront.

Faheem, the host, greeted me at the airport early and let me check in ahead of schedule because my room was already ready. The place had everything nearby, plus a pool at the back.
