The a&o Wien Hauptbahnhof hotel is located behind Vienna Main Train Station. En-suite rooms with parquet flooring are offered. A rooftop bar with panoramic views serves guests. A buffet breakfast, high-speed WiFi, games room, and playroom are available. The hotel is a 5-minute walk from Südtirolerplatz Metro Stop, with Saint Stephen's Cathedral 7 minutes away by metro.

Very good location near the train station! The rooms were big and comfortable. Having a bathroom shared only with the people in your room was a huge plus.

Right in the middle, just a short walk to the station. The breakfast buffet was simple but acceptable. This hostel isn’t suitable for budget‑conscious families. Unfortunately, many school groups drop off here. Parties go on until 2 am, with pounding doors. Teenagers run around shouting all night. The hostel can’t separate families onto different floors, and the few staff members don’t care about nighttime quiet. Even with direct warnings to the students, sleep was almost impossible. The accompanying teachers didn’t help either. For travelers with kids, I can’t recommend this place, even though it was cheap.

The best part is the spot right next to HBF station and the price is pretty good for that area. There’s a bar, a kitchen you can use, breakfast options, a bike locker, and simple, clean rooms for four people. For a quick night and a short stay, you don’t need anything else. The place is huge and a lot of people move through it, so the lower floor gets pretty loud late at night, but upstairs you hardly hear anything. A drawback is the steep, high stairs in front of the main entrance if you have to put in bikes, because the locker is at level –2.

Location. I booked for 3 people but only one blanket had cover. Only 2 beds were made not the 3rd one. Had to sleep without bedsheet
